PharmGirl

I figured I had better properly introduce myself, as the blog security says “Prove you aren’t a robot”, and so I shall---
I am one of the only people you will ever meet that was actually born in Phoenix, Arizona.  In fact, I’m a second generation Arizonian, who can still remember when Tucson and Phoenix had a 2hour drive betwixt them!  I went to all years of schooling in Phoenix (with brief stints in Colorado and Oregon), then finished up my undergrad in Flagstaff.  After 4years out of college, I pulled up stakes and moved to Philly.
It is at this point I should mention the following before you wonder “Why would she move East?!”:
1.       “It’s a dry heat” never fails to amuse an Arizonian who keeps oven-mitts in her car so she can touch the steering wheel.
2.       I have been stung by a scorpion, had a black widow crawl up my arm, and had a rattlesnake under my car.
3.       I know people who have had at least one of the above show up in their bed/shoes.
4.       Getting second degree burns from a seatbelt is the only time I’ve been injured in a car accident.
5.       Walking a jobsite in 118degree heat in a wool suit and heels was not as much fun as it sounds.
While in Arizona, and for a year in Philly, I owned an Interior Design and Construction firm.  After the housing market crashed, I had to re-invent my career and start back at the bottom.  I took a job as a Call Center Specialist as a temporary employee for a large generic pharmaceutical company.  That was three years ago and now for that same company I am the only Sales and Marketing Project Manager.
Danielle and Stephen
At home, I live in the city of Philadelphia with my boyfriend, Stephen, and am walking distance to almost everything.  We live in a loft condo that has a big picture window looking out onto the street so I can see the comings and goings of the neighborhood.  My favorite Creperie is just a block away, and all of the local restaurants have wonderful food and drinks to fit most any palette.  A world of adventure is at my fingertips, with frequent outings to see the next new thing (or old favorite).  One of our constant companions is our husky-lab mix, Samson.  He is now used to the life of a city dog and even has a designated dog walker in the neighborhood he loves.  Samson prefers the cafés of the city the most, as they usually have treats, outdoor seating, and water-dishes for him.

Now, if you’ll excuse me…. the cafe umbrellas are out, the music is playing, the flowers are blooming, and Philly is calling our names!

  1. Danielle,

I had to laugh at the "dry heat" comment. I grew up in Boston with the humidity and now live in California's Central Valley. It's 110 in the summer and how anyone thinks that is better than a little bit of humidity is beyond me! Also, I will never move there based on the rattlesnake comment alone! I really like the picture bar you have on the side. Is there anyway to make them links?

Great to meet you and look forward to working with you!
